ABOUT US

ECO CLUB PROJECTS is a collaboration of three organisations offering hands-on learning in rural Germany, Spain, and Portugal. We enjoy finding ways to live more sustainably and combine green learnings with digital techniques.

We’ve discovered the Eco Club Movement in schools in India and Greece. But sustainable activities that enhance different skills are important for all ages and groups. That’s where ECO CLUB PROJECTS come in.

Since spring 2024, we have been exploring various activities and will document our findings and share our experiences. We’ll identify activities suitable for recurring hobbies, as well as projects ideal for educators, teambuildings and bigger community initiatives.

ECO CLUB PROJECTS is co-funded by the European Union.

Fab Lab Cuenca

Our team in Spain is the inspiring Fab Lab Cuenca. They know how to prototype and work with an impressive array of tools to follow their passion for digital fabrication. The founders Delia & Micka are dedicated educators who even invented a mobile fab lab to bring digital techniques to rural areas.

The main Eco Club Projects of Fab Lab Cuenca involve digital learnings like 3D modeling. In workshops, people learn how to design items that support biodiversity. Items like bird houses or bat houses. This way plenty new homes for local species will be created. The first wave of prototyping started already.

Fab Lab BUINHO

The Portuguese team behind the visionary Fab Lab Buinho works with artists from around the world and empowers all ages with entertaining robot-building courses. Besides their huge passion for Arduino, they have been promoting the development of local repair communities for years.

The main Eco Club Projects of Buinho involve coding for beginners and nurturing the repair skills of local seniors. To achieve this, they even plan to establish a mobile repair café.

SALIKO STUDIO

The German founders of Saliko Studio are filmmakers who integrate video-making into workshops as an educational bridge to sustainability topics. They are particularly passionate about developing tools that promote eco-friendly behavior and enhance communication skills.

Saliko Studio’s main Eco Club projects focus on smart plantings and upcycling projects. They also explore how different groups can use Eco Club projects as engaging social events.
