ABOUT US

ECO CLUB PROJECTS is a collaboration of three organisations offering hands-on learning in Germany, Spain, and Portugal. We enjoy finding ways to live more sustainably and combine green learnings with digital techniques.

We’ve discovered the Eco Club movement in schools in India and Greece. But sustainable activities that enhance different skills are important for all ages and groups. That’s where ECO CLUB PROJECTS come in.

Since spring 2024, we have been exploring various Eco Club activities and share our experiences. Since spring 2024, we have been exploring a wide range of Eco Club activities and sharing our experiences. At the moment, we are preparing the next generation of birdhouses with DIY wildlife cameras for spring 2026!

We will also continue exploring further Eco Clubs activities suitable for educators, fab labs, teambuildings and bigger community initiatives. Join us!

ECO CLUB PROJECTS is co-funded by the European Union.

FAB LAB CUENCA

Our team in Spain is the inspiring Fab Lab Cuenca. They excel at prototyping and work with an impressive range of tools, driven by their passion for digital fabrication. Founders Delia and Micka are dedicated educators who even invented a mobile Fab Lab to bring digital making techniques to rural areas.

They are the lead designers of our birdhouses and bat houses. Together with Jeff from Dublin Makers and Roberto from Fab Lab Lisbon, they also solved the programming challenges of our DIY wildlife camera setup.

While working together in Germany, they discovered a shared passion for creating upcycled games for farm festivals and entertained 20 families with vibrobot bugs.

FAB LAB BUINHO

The Portuguese team behind the visionary Fab Lab Buinho works with artists from around the world and empowers all ages with entertaining robot-building courses. Besides their huge passion for Arduino, they have been promoting the development of local repair communities for years.

Carlos, Sara and their crew even organise repair marathons, visiting retirement homes and bringing different generations together through hands-on repair of small devices.

They also run sewing evenings and discovered an excellent entry point to Fab Lab tools for local women: the embroidery machine. Tufting guns are part of the program too. Very exciting!

SALIKO STUDIO

The German founders of Saliko Studio are developing projects, tools, workshops, and events, as an educational bridge to sustainability topics. Thats why they are super happy that Delia, Micka, Sara and Carlos joined the Eco Club Exploration.

Anke and Stephan are the European coordinators of our collaboration and document the Eco Club projects. They introduced the team to the permaculture universe and organise Eco Club activities with a focus on plantings, upcycling, and practical digital tools. So far, their favorite activity has been creating Eco Club stations for farm festivals.
